Professor Dame Nancy Rothwell to lead on research strategy
Further to the announcement of Professor Simon Gaskell’s appointment to the position of Principal at Queen Mary University of London, it has been agreed that Professor Dame Nancy Rothwell, the Deputy President and Deputy Vice-Chancellor, will assume overall strategic leadership for the research and graduate education agenda within the University.
The University will shortly be advertising internally for two new Associate Vice-President (Research) who, together with the Associate Vice-President for Graduate Education (Professor Nigel Vincent) and the four Faculty Associate Deans for Research, will assist Professor Dame Nancy Rothwell with this task, supported by the University's Research Office.
Professor Dame Nancy Rothwell's first priority will be to lead the University-wide Research Profiling Exercise, further details of which are available at:
