We will be walking from 10.30am to 2.30pm with food/drinks at the pub afterwards.

Squash & Badminton Ladders

SPORT Manchester are launching a selection of staff only sports ladders, initially in Squash & Badminton, aimed at increasing staff participation in physical activity by matching people with similar interests and at similar levels. To support this, the SPORT office is providing a free 2 hour session each week for you to come down and play your matches.

Sports ladders are a simple ranking system that allows players to play other people to move up and down the ladder. Whilst the ladders will always have a competitive element, our main objective is simply to get more staff playing sport and so we will be giving out prizes to those who play the most games regardless of your ladder position!

Whilst there are no expectations of number of games, we advise players to try to arrange a match around once a week. Rackets will also be supplied to use at these sessions if required, although you are able to arrange your game directly with an opponent at any point you like.

Badminton Ladder – Free session is on Thursdays 12 – 2pm Sugden Centre Sports Hall C (already started and running all year round) - Just turn up to get involved!

Squash Ladder – Free session is on Tuesdays 12.20 – 2.20pm Sugden Centre Squash Courts (already started and running all year round) - Register your interest by emailing james.marenghi@manchester.ac.uk
