Professor Stephen Yeates appointed Associate Vice-President for Research

Professor Stephen Yeates FRSC is a professor of Polymer Chemistry and the current Vice-Dean for Research in the Faculty of Science and Engineering
On 1 September he will take up his new role as one of the two AVPs working with the Vice-President for Research.
With five years of experience as a Vice-Dean for Research and a member of the University's Research Strategy Group, Steve has already made a significant contribution to the design and delivery of the University's research strategy.
Steve's AVP portfolio will include responsibility for the strategic governance of our research facilities and UMRI institutes.
Professor Colette Fagan, Vice-President for Research, said: "I look forward to working with Steve to enhance the quality and external profile of the high calibre interdisciplinary research discovery and application which our facilities and institutes deliver."
