Junk email filtering – Update 1

As you may be aware, the University is currently being hit by an extraordinary amount of junk email
For background information, please see the StaffNet article posted on Friday, 10 March:
In the past week, we have:
- Configured our email service so it’s ready for our new junk email filtering system
- Upgraded one of our dedicated junk mail filtering servers to use the new filtering software
Please note that the work is not complete, so you may not notice an improvement just yet. However, we do know that many staff in various departments (ourselves included) are finding it incredibly frustrating, disruptive and upsetting to receive these types of emails, and we’re prioritising work on getting the situation significantly improved.
