Self-development platforms

Below you will find a selection of online resources to further your own self-directed learning. These can all be accessed by all our staff. The resources range from bite-sized video tips all the way to full-length online courses. Browse the selection below and start your online learning journey today.

LinkedIn Learning

LinkedIn Learning is an online learning platform which allows you the opportunity to learn something new when you want to learn it. You can learn how to develop your strategic thinking, enhance your project management skills, learn Excel or even learn to sing

You can choose to learn something by following a full course or “playlist” or you can simply select specific content to learn. With the app, you can download content and learn on the go. Courses often come with extra resources in order to help you continue your learning.

Learning and Development Toolkit

The Learning and Development Toolkit is a great resource for getting to basic information / toe-dipping into subjects or getting just-in-time refresher training on subjects.

All staff at The University of Manchester can access the resources and can share them internally with colleagues for professional development purposes.

We have access to a number of other platforms to assist colleagues from across the University of Manchester with self-led development.

Mindset Coaching provides users with skillls to implement coaching into theiur professional practice with a number of freely available bitesize courses.

The CRF seek to increase the effectiveness of the HR function through research, events, peer exchange and corporate learning.
