Attend our digital accessibility panel sessions this April

26 Mar 2025

The Faculty of Humanities PS EDI Committee has launched a series of panel discussions on digital accessibility coming to all four Schools this spring.

As we continue to support work towards a more inclusive culture in the Faculty, the sessions aim to:

  • Raise awareness of what digital accessibility is.
  • Help colleagues make their digital content and communications easier to understand and access by all their audiences.
  • Meet legal requirements where necessary.

Who should attend

These sessions are open to all but are particularly valuable for:

  • Colleagues who regularly produce digital communications
  • Staff who create and share digital course materials
  • Researchers who publish digital content

The sessions will bring together experts to discuss best practice for creating accessible and inclusive digital content.

Topics will include accessible document design, multimedia accessibility, inclusive teaching strategies and use of assistive technologies.

Attendees are also invited to suggest topics for discussion in the registration form.

Session schedule

  • Tuesday, 22 April, 11am-12pm, Room C1.18, Ellen Wilkinson Building – SALC
  • Monday, 28 April, 11am-12pm, Room 1.69/1.70, Humanities Bridgeford Street Building – SEED
