Have you had your say about your digital experience?

The Flexible Learning Programme wants to hear from you to understand your digital experiences in your work and teaching.

This year’s Digital Experience Insights Surveys launched in November and are a great opportunity for colleagues to share their views on their digital experiences at work. Feedback will inform improvements to enhance the University’s digital landscape.

We are listening and improvements are happening

Improvements are already taking place to the University’s digital landscape through several projects.

The 2023/2024 Digital Experience Insights Survey data is being used to inform the outputs of these projects and has been shared with leaders across the University to implement positive change.

Some of the projects and available development opportunities include:

  • The University is preparing to move to Canvas from Blackboard Learn by September 2025 to bring a modern and futureproof central learning environment (CLE) to students
  • The Jisc Discovery tool helps you self-assess your confidence and experience of different digital skills and technologies
  • LinkedIn Learning offers further development opportunities and provide recognition of digital and professional skills
  • Microsoft 365 workshops provide peer support to colleagues to enhance skills with many of the commonly used Microsoft apps
  • Digital Wellbeing workshops explore how using technology can affect our wellbeing.

  • Find out how you would like digital technologies to be used in learning and teaching,
  • Identify and address problems that create barriers to your online teaching practices,
  • Provide us build a richer picture about your views on digital teaching, learning and assessment.

Professional Services colleagues - complete our PS staff survey to help us:

  • Find out how you would like digital technologies to be used in your work,
  • Understand how you use our digital environment and services, and ways these could be improved,
  • Better understand how we can support your digital capability needs.
