Social Responsibility in the Curriculum – applications now open for Semester 2
01 Nov 2024
The Vice-Dean for Social Responsibility and the Humanities Social Responsibility Committee invite proposals for initiatives under the theme of ‘Social Responsibility in the Curriculum’
The Faculty of Humanities welcomes applications for our Social Responsibility in the Curriculum Fund. Any course unit leader or programme director of an undergraduate or postgraduate taught course can submit a proposal.
We will accept repeat applications, but modules can receive funding for a maximum of two iterations, as colleagues will need to work to embed the interventions into modules going forward. In all cases, the proposal must enhance an existing module or programme or incorporate explicit social responsibility emphasis in a new module.
The aim is for students to be encouraged to think about how their enthusiasm for their subject can communicate, connect or be relevant beyond the immediate demands of their course. The maximum award that can be applied for is £1,000 per module.
However, colleagues may ask for additional funds (up to £3,000) if the activity involves multiple modules from the same programme or engages students across various programmes. Please see full details online: https://www.staffnet.manchester.ac.uk/humanities/social-responsibility/sr-curriculum/
