Launch of this year's collaborative initiative to promote and support open research practices here at Manchester
Our 2024/25 Opening up Research programme, a collaborative initiative designed to promote and support open research practices across the University, launches today (Monday, 28 October).
The programme involves the Office for Open Research, the School of Engineering Open Research Lead, representatives from the United Kingdom Reproducibility Network (UKRN), and Cancer Research UK Manchester Institute.
The launch event – featuring a welcome address from President and Vice-Chancellor, Professor Duncan Ivison, and Vice-President for Research, Professor Colette Fagan – included updates on the latest open research initiatives and insights from our Open Research Fellows. The event was well attended by researchers and research-related colleagues from a range of faculties and disciplines.
