New partnerships with Indian universities – with funding opportunities

University partners with Ashoka University and O.P. Jindal Global University

The University has signed new partnerships with Ashoka University and O.P. Jindal Global University in India. The launch of the partnerships includes a research call and seed fund open to all three faculties.

As leaders in research and innovation, our universities share a commitment to advancing knowledge, fostering interdisciplinary collaboration, and addressing global challenges.

The partnerships follow a visit to India by Professor Angelia Wilison, Associate Dean for Internationalisation at the Faculty of Humanities.

O.P. Jindal Global University is recognised as an Institution of Eminence by the Ministry of Education, Government of India. The university has achieved the prestigious ranking of No. 1 Private University in India in the QS World University Rankings 2023. O.P. Jindal Global University is home to an impressive array of international experts in diverse fields such as Law, Business, Liberal Arts, Psychology, Economics, Media, Journalism, Architecture, Design, Banking, Finance, Environment, Public Policy, Public Health, Languages, and International Relations.

Ashoka University offers an outstanding Liberal Arts and Sciences education. Ashoka boasts research expertise in the following areas: economics, wellbeing, climate change and sustainability, gender and sexuality, policy initiatives, social impact and is home to the Trivedi Center for Political Data.

Funding opportunity

The seed fund will support collaborative research projects with either Ashoka University or O.P. Jindal Global University.

The call is being run by the Faculty of Humanities but is open to academic staff members from all three faculties. All disciplines at all levels are welcome to apply.

The deadline for the call is Monday, 23 September 2024.
