How to update your page using Pure’s new features – enhancing your online presence and your research connections
The University’s Research Explorer portal gets a significant amount of web traffic and is a great way to give your work visibility and help others connect with you.
The recent upgrade made to the profile system, Pure, has introduced a new range of features to help enhance your online presence even further.
Our University domain enjoys high traffic so it’s one of the best ways for potential collaborators, funders and PGR students to find you online.
How to update your profile
To update your contact details, log into Pure using your University credentials and click on Edit Profile. In the profile editor window, scroll down to your current post and click on the Edit button. In this section you can add any of your preferred contact details.
Remember to click the blue Update and Save buttons to save any changes.
If you haven’t already, you can choose to share your contact details, including your email address, office location or phone number, on your online profile which displays on the portal and helps potential collaborators and other interested parties find you and get in touch.
Adding a recent profile image helps make your page stand out better too.
Alongside research profiles, Research Explorer includes access to publications, datasets and media coverage too, with all content fully searchable. Adding relevant research beacon, institute and platform tags on your profile will give you and your work greater visibility when visitors use these to select areas of interest to them.
