What you need to know

As part of the Continuous Improvement project in the People Directorate, People Services has made important updates to the Manager Essentials StaffNet pages to better support you in leading your teams. 

We want the people that matter to us to understand how changes we’re making will improve processes that matter to them. We’re working hard every day to deliver what we’ve said we would, and to demonstrate how our new ways of working have been effective.

This refreshed resource provides a one-stop shop for key processes, policies, and tools to help you navigate the full employee lifecycle.

What You Need to Know

• A new "Essential guide for managers" for new managers;
• All essential resources in one place for easy access;
• A more user-friendly layout and navigation;
• New topics added that link to other teams, such as Research Staff IT Access after leaving; 
• Outdated links removed, with updated resources like Purple Place and the Employee Assistance Programme added.
