Your online guide to finding people at The University of Manchester
Trying to find a colleague, a list of all members of staff who work in a particular office, the person responsible for HR or IT in your Faculty, or the School to which a student belongs? The Staff (and Student) Directory gives you staff and student information at your fingertips.
If you just want a really quick surname search, you can use the Staff Directory search box at the top left-hand of StaffNet.
Or you can access the Directory via the "Links to services" menu on StaffNet. Just click on the "Staff Directory" link, enter the surname of the person you're looking for and you'll produce a listing of all people with that surname, plus the following information for each of them:
- Title
- Name
- eMail Address (click on the name)
- School/Division
- Section
- Role
- Internal Number
- Location
If you wish, you can then generate a listing of all staff in that School/Division or Section - useful when you know the name of a member of staff working in an area, but are looking for a colleague of theirs with a different function.
There is also an advanced search option which allows you to carry out more complex enquiries, using a combination of the above fields and status (staff, undergraduate, postgraduate, visitor, or other).
