Estates celebrates outstanding achievements
01 Apr 2025
On Friday, 28 March, colleagues from across our Estates & Facilities team came together for the third annual Estates & Facilities Outstanding Contribution Awards.

The event was hosted by Alison Shedlock (Director of Campus Services) and was held to recognise both individuals and teams that were nominated by colleagues within the directorate. These nominations were for outstanding work that went above and beyond expectation throughout the last year.
Chief Property Officer Barra Mac Ruairi said: “It was an honour to attend the Outstanding Contribution Awards within my first month at the University. It was clear to see the high levels of commitment our team in Estates provides the University, and to be able to celebrate that with you all was a great experience.”
“These awards are not only a testament to the dedication of our colleagues, but also our ‘one team’ spirit and willingness to recognise each other’s achievements. I would like to congratulate both this year’s winners and nominees, as well as thank everyone across Estates for your continued hard work.”
“You should all be proud of what you accomplished in the last year, and I look forward to working with you all in the year ahead.”
