Your Voice Matters – Colleague wellbeing

20 Mar 2025

Actions taken from the Wellbeing Survey 2024

Helen Brewis, Head of Colleague Wellbeing, reflects on the results and actions taken from the Wellbeing Survey 2024.

Feedback from last year’s Wellbeing Survey highlighted local and University-wide changes that could make a real, impactful difference to colleague wellbeing at the University.

Helen discusses the need for clearer communication around our wellbeing and offer activities, which has been enacted in campaigns such as ‘Starting Well in 2025’ – a programme of activities throughout January 2025 to focus on our physical and mental wellbeing.

Survey feedback also helped us to identify where we are against our Wellbeing Commitment and identify our priority areas for action.

The Wellbeing Survey is informing updated training for managers around mental health, guiding them to provide practical support for their colleagues.

Current work is also underway with the Strategic Change Office to review how we use wellbeing impact assessments to predict, manage and mitigate the impact of change on colleague wellbeing.
