Leadership and management opportunities for aspiring and experienced managers
The University offers a range of apprenticeship opportunities for new and existing colleagues to support career development, including our established leadership and management programme(s) for aspiring and experienced managers.
Throughout March & April, colleagues who are interested in developing management and leadership skills will be able to apply for the following courses:
- The University of Manchester and Corndel Level 3 Leadership and Management Diploma Leadership pathway
- The University of Manchester and Corndel Level 5 Leadership and Management Diploma Leadership pathway
- The University of Manchester and Corndel Level 7 Senior Leadership and Management Diploma Leadership pathway
All programmes are occupationally related, meaning that you will need to be in a role that provides sufficient scope to be able to apply your learning and demonstrate the knowledge, skills and behaviours required. These apprenticeship programmes provide structured training over a period of 12-15 months and are nationally recognised and CMI accredited.
When do they start?
Programmes commence June 2025 and will be delivered by one of our preferred training providers - Corndel. All programmes are fully funded through the Apprenticeship Levy, meaning there is no cost to you and form an important part of our evolving apprenticeships offering.
Please note there are limited spaces available. If you are not able to sign up at this stage, there will be more programmes running throughout 2025/26 with the exception of the Level 7 Senior Leadership programme.
How to apply
- If you are interested in applying to do the programme, have a conversation with your line manager;
- Attend an insight session on either Wednesday, 26 March at 11-12pm and 2-3pm or Thursday, 3 April at 11-12pm and 2-3pm.
