Updated Financial Procedures now available

The University’s Financial Procedures have been significantly updated and are now available. All colleagues are required to familiarise themselves with the revised document and comply with them immediately.
The updates were made to improve clarity, streamline content, and align with current financial practices. The new version is now 50% shorter than the previous one while maintaining all essential guidance.
Key changes:
- Simplified language for improved clarity, ensuring alignment with the revised Financial Regulations.
- Updated content to reflect current processes, system improvements, and automation.
- Reduced duplication by linking to other relevant policies instead of repeating content.
- Removal of financial thresholds and approval levels, now available in a separate Financial Thresholds and Approvals Matrix. This allows for future updates without amending the main Financial Procedures.
- Consistency across all financial policies.
- Applicability to the entire University, including all Directorates, Faculties, and subsidiaries. The revised document now integrates Estates and Facilities, removing the need for separate procedures.
