Change in supplier of IT Consumables (ITRAP)

Following a recent procurement exercise, we are pleased to announce that the contract to provide small and regularly ordered IT Consumable items has been awarded to Insight.  

Having successfully supplied the university for several years. The aim of the new agreement is to drive efficiencies within the catalogue of products and to improve the environmental product mix. We have developed a range of preselected products to guide you in selecting the most economical products to maximise the cost savings, whilst increasing your environmental attributes.  

The Insight online catalogue is now available for staff to make purchases. Orders for these items should be placed through eMarketplace via the catalogue.   

The process for ordering items can be found via our SharePoint site: Buying Goods and Services.  

In order to make it easier to find the items you need; we have reduced the size of the catalogue by standardising products where possible. 

The frequency of deliveries will remain the same as before, which is 5 days a week. As all deliveries will be to addresses on campus, you must ensure that you are able to take delivery on one of the stated delivery days.  

If your location and current telephone number isn’t listed or incorrect or needs updating if you have moved locations, you should contact the Finance Helpdesk, before making an order, on finance.helpdesk@manchester.ac.uk and ask for your details to be updated, including the current telephone number.   If this is not clear on the requisition/ delivery note, the risk is that goods will be delayed or sent back to the depot.   

The University can benefit from volume discounts and complimentary delivery on all orders. Our account manager is able to discuss the potential of bulk discounts, quotes expedited and order ETAs where appropriate.
