12 Feb 2025
Join our sustainability experts for a conversation with Professor Duncan Ivison 11.30am-12.30pm on Friday, 21 February.

All colleagues are invited to attend a Townhall meeting with Professor Duncan Ivison, who will be joined on the panel by:
- Professor Michael Shaver – Professor of Polymer Science in the School of Natural Sciences and Director of Sustainable Futures
- Professor Carly McLachlan – Professor of Climate and Energy Policy, Director of Tyndall Centre
- Julia Durkan – Head of Environmental Sustainability
What will the panel discussion include?
Our latest all-colleague Townhall is focused on sustainability. We will consider:
- Our sustainability commitments – we are committed to our sustainability strategy and will discuss the work going into achieving our goals, as well as our progress towards net zero and what we’re doing next.
- Manchester 2035 – how we will ensure sustainability is woven throughout the entire strategy, reflecting its critical role in our long-term vision.
- How we embed sustainability throughout campus, from our processes and platforms and to our curricula and partnerships.
