Developing our people through our apprenticeship programmes

The University is proud to support colleagues' professional development through a wide range of apprenticeship opportunities, reflecting our commitment to career growth while also demonstrating our dedication to social responsibility by offering apprenticeships for individuals of all ages, at all stages, and at all levels of their careers.

Opportunities for local Greater Manchester residents

As part of our exciting 2035 strategy to take on challenges of the future, we are passionate about how our apprenticeship programmes can support this.  We will be using our pioneering programmes to attract and retain local talent and help people recognise that the university is a place where you can start your work career, not just a place to come and study.

Our history of social values and cultural heritage means that we are deeply connected to the region’s trailblazing plan to ignite a new decade of growth. Together we can unlock potential, shape brighter futures, and drive innovation to make a lasting impact in Greater Manchester and beyond.

Opportunities for University colleagues

We also support career growth for our people through an exciting range of apprenticeship programmes for both new and existing members of staff.

Over 300 colleagues are now working towards essential industry-recognised professional qualifications. You may have seen that we have recently launched our Data & AI apprenticeship programmes with Multiverse and our next leadership and management, project management and business change programmes with Corndel.
