An update on University mobile phone contracts

15 Oct 2024

The University has successfully negotiated a new mobile phone contract with Vodafone, which offers significant benefits and is excellent value for money.

All University mobile phone contracts and devices will soon transition to a new, inclusive value sharer tariff.

All contracts will be managed with data thresholds, and the existing spend cap will remain in place. Data usage will be reviewed monthly to ensure that users have sufficient data to carry out their work effectively. Users will continue to receive text notifications from Vodafone when nearing their data thresholds.

The transition date for all contracts will be Monday 21 October 2024. The transition is expected to take around 24 hours with minimal disruption for users. However, if any temporary data issues arise, simply restart your device, and this should resolve the problem.

If the problem persists, please raise a support ticket in Connect, the new support portal for colleagues and students.
