The winner of the Wood Street Mission Lottery for the month of April 2024 is:

£2 a month will buy you a share in the Wood Street Mission Lottery and help the Mission to provide bedding and basic essentials for families in need in the area.
You can sign up to buy from one to five shares a month at £2 per share. The proceeds from each share are divided equally between the winner (£1) and Wood Street (£1). The winner is notified shortly after the monthly draw, which is done independently, and receives a cheque for the amount of money in the fund at that time.
Last year, the University presented Wood Street Mission with a cheque for £3,000 from their share of the Lottery; this year, we shall be handing over a cheque for £4,000, some of which has come from generous donations made by members of staff.
New members are always welcome. If you decide to join, your number(s) will go into the draw in the month following receipt of your first subscription. If you decide to withdraw from the Lottery, you are asked to give one month’s notice.
The Lottery was set up in 1974 and is run under licence from Manchester City Council.
