Timetabling Survey – closes 21 December 2022
04 Oct 2022
The Timetable Project wants to hear which factors are most important to you in your timetable. In other words, what are the preferences that you would ideally want scheduling teams to prioritise when making scheduling decisions? The survey closes on Wednesday 21 December.
The University’s ongoing Timetable Project will improve the way we design and publish timetables, and bring benefits to our students, staff and the wider university. Hearing the views of students and colleagues has played an important role in the Project’s progress to date, and now the team are surveying all academic colleagues for the final time.
Thank you to all academic colleagues who completed our first survey. Prof Steve Pettifer, the Project’s Academic Lead reports on the findings of the first survey in this post. Your responses have shaped the second and final survey which the team would now like you to please complete. You do not need to have completed the first survey to take part.
Please take two minutes to complete this very quick and simple survey to rank your timetabling priorities; rank which of the listed factors are the most and least important to you. Please note, the survey is only open to academic colleagues.
Please submit your response by Wednesday, 21 December 2022. Combined with corresponding answers from our students, the results will be vital in determining our future approach to timetabling. The changes we're making won’t come into effect until the 2023/24 academic year, but we need to hear from you now to feed things through into the next timetable.
Thank you in advance for your ongoing support of the Timetable Project.
