FoodonCampus disposable cup charge

To encourage more students and staff to use reusable cups, Food on Campus cafés implemented a 20p charge on disposable cups from the start of term earlier this month

A percentage of the charge will go towards a sustainability fund.  

As you are aware the University has a commitment to sustainability, and one of the simplest ways staff and students can help is to carry and use a reusable cup.

We know through research that a charge on disposable cups encourages even more people to ditch disposables and use reusables. 

We are following suit to other universities who have successfully implemented the same cup charge and seen a drastic reduction in the use of single use cups.
