Library EDI Working Group – communicating with Library staff

The Library’s Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Working Group acts as an advocate and driver for change, collaborating with colleagues across the Library, representatives of the student body, University and beyond to improve equity, diversity and inclusion within our workforce, services and offer.

The Working Group drives and coordinates EDI activity in the Library, ensuring that learning and best practice is shared across Directorates and with the wider University and sector.

Much EDI work has been going on within the Library, driven both by the working group and by members of staff outside the group. The Working Group recognise that we need to be better at communicating this work and one of our aims for 2024 is keep Library staff regularly updated.

We will be providing updates via the Equity, Diversity and Inclusion channel on the All-Staff Teams area and would love staff to get involved. We hope that sharing our work more regularly will inspire staff to embed EDI in everything they do. This week you can read a summary of the minutes of our last meeting.
