Face-to-face appointment pilot launched to support students with finance queries

23 Jan 2025

The Student Finance appointment pilot will help inform developments to supporting students with finance queries and issues.

Students can now book a face-to-face appointment to discuss their finance queries with the University Student Finance team.

The temporary appointment service was launched on Monday, 20 January as part of an eight-week pilot run by the Student Finance team.

A Hub from each Faculty will host the 15-minute appointments for students across the University. The Faculty of Humanities students can book to see the Student Finance team at the School of Social Sciences Student Support Hub every Monday, 1.30 to 4pm.

Although students are encouraged to book an appointment at the Student Support Hub based in their own faculty, this is not essential.

The appointment service can support students with queries related to tuition fees, financial registration, sponsorship, Cost of Living Support Fund (not the assessment outcomes) and student loans. It can also assist with payment issues for stipends, scholarships, bursaries, or prizes.

Some queries, such as those related to direct debit queries, unpaid fees and residency status should be directed to wider University teams.

Colleagues involved in signposting students to support should contact the School Information, Advice and Guidance teams for further information:

Students should contact their School Student Support Hub if they have any questions:
