Applications for Humanities Wellbeing Bids 2024/25 are now open
04 Oct 2024
The Faculty of Humanities Social and Wellbeing Advisory Group (FoHSWAG) is pleased to announce that the applications for Humanities Wellbeing Bids 2024/25 are now open.
FoHSWAG coordinates a wealth of activity across our Faculty to support the physical and mental wellbeing of PS and academic staff.
The Wellbeing Bids scheme invites members of the Faculty's PS and academic staff, including postgraduate researchers (PGRs), to submit proposals for wellbeing-related activities. Applications that emphasise inclusivity, support for vulnerable groups, as well as cross School and Faculty participation will be given particular consideration.
All activities submitted should align with one or more of the University’s Six Ways to Wellbeing, which are: Connect, Be Active, Take Notice, Learn and Discover, Give, and Be healthy.
There is no upper limit for funding requests, though they should be reasonable in scope. Projects can range from small-scale initiatives starting at £50 to larger, more comprehensive activities.
If your bid is successful, you may be asked to provide a brief report and photographs upon completion of your activity for documentation and publication as appropriate.
To find out more about the entry guidelines and examples of successful bids from previous years, please visit the Wellbeing in the Faculty of Humanities page.
To apply, please complete and submit the Wellbeing Bids funding form by Friday 1 November.
Applicants will be notified of the outcome by the end of November. If successful, the allocated funds must be invoiced and spent by 31 July 2025.
