27 Jun 2024

Call for applications for Being Human Festival 2024 – the UK's national festival of the humanities, has been extended until Thursday, 18 July.

Being Human is the UK’s national festival of the humanities. Researchers and staff from universities and research organisations are invited to take part by organising a public engagement event or activity, rooted in humanities research.

The call for applications for festival event (unfunded pathway) has been extended until Thursday, 18 July at 5pm. Applicants will be notified of the outcome of their application by Friday, 26 July.

Any organisation with a connection to humanities research is eligible to organise a festival event, but all events must involve an eligible researcher in their planning and delivery.

This year’s festival will take place on 7-16 November, with the theme ‘Landmarks’, honouring the festival’s 10th anniversary. Researchers are invited to think about physical or metaphorical landmarks and how they shape our world.
