Social Responsibility in the Curriculum Fund – apply now for 2024/25 modules

30 May 2024

Applications now open for the Social Responsibility in the Curriculum Fund to enhance existing modules or programmes or to incorporate social responsibility in a new module.

The Faculty of Humanities offers funding annually as part of our Social Responsibility in the Curriculum FundAny course unit leader or programme director of an undergraduate or postgraduate taught course can submit a proposal, including those who have received an award previously. In all cases, the proposal must be for the enhancement of an existing module or programme or the incorporation of explicit social responsibility emphasis in a new module.

The aim is for students to be encouraged to think how their enthusiasm for their subject can communicate, connect or be relevant beyond the immediate demands of their course.

The maximum award that can be applied for is £1,000 per module, although colleagues may ask for additional funds (up to £3,000) if the activity involves multiple modules from the same programme or engages students across multiple programmes.

You can find further details about the application process here.

To apply, please complete this online application form by Monday 24 June at 5pm.

For any queries, please email the Social Responsibility and Environmental Sustainability ManagerRoz Webster: roz.webster@manchester.ac.uk

Applications will be reviewed by a panel convened by the Vice Dean for Social Responsibility. And awards will be announced by early July. Funds must be spent by 31 July 2025.
