New Vice-Dean for Social Responsibility appointed

Professor Dimitris Papadimitriou will take up the role in the summer.

Professor Dimitris Papadimitriou, the Director for Social Responsibility (SR) and Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) in the School of Social Sciences, has been appointed as the new Vice-Dean for Social Responsibility for the Faculty of Humanities.

Dimitris will take up the role when the current Vice-Dean, Professor Andy Westwood, steps down in the summer following his term in the role.

Dimitris said: “I am delighted to be taking over my new role in Faculty of Humanities. The potential to enact positive change for a Faculty of our size is tremendous, both for our own people here at the University, but also for the local community in Greater Manchester and for communities around the world. Me and my colleagues are determined to put social responsibility and inclusivity at the very heart of the Faculty’s operations. We relish the challenge!”
