Increased IT security provision in Nancy Rothwell Building

Installation of IT peripheral cable locks will commence on Monday, 11 November

To ensure you have all the necessary equipment required to carry out your role, small cable locks will soon be installed at all workspace desks within the Nancy Rothwell Buildings.

These locks will secure monitors, keyboards and mice at each desk.

Work is scheduled to commence on Monday, 11 November in open plan Departmental areas before progressing to other open plan areas (e.g. Faculty Office) over the following weeks. To minimise disruption, work will take place between 5pm and 7pm.

If you are at a desk during the install, you will be asked to temporarily relocate for a few minutes to allow the fitting to take place.

If, at any point, you need to unlock these peripherals from your designated desk, please contact:

  • your Departmental Operations team (for departmental staff and PGRS)

  • MECD Service Delivery Team (for Faculty Office staff and Technical Operations)
