Closure of North Campus pedestrian gate

The pedestrian gate between MSS Tower and Morton Laboratory will permanently close on Wednesday 29 March

With final moves out of The Mill now complete, and following advice from our University Crime Prevention Officer, the pedestrian gate between MSS Tower and Morton Laboratory onto London Road will be permanently closed from Wednesday 29 March. This is to provide additional security for colleagues and students still based on North Campus.

For those North Campus buildings which are open, the easiest route to access these buildings from South Campus will be from Sackville Street or, if coming from Piccadilly Station, along Whitworth Street (or Altrincham Terrace) then left onto Sackville Street.

For any staff or students previously using this gate for through access between South Campus and Piccadilly Station, travelling on foot via Sackville Street and Altrincham Terrace is now the quickest route of travel.
