This year, we say goodbye to Blackboard Learn and welcome Canvas by Instructure. Register to attend our January open meeting online to hear what we have achieved, what’s to come and what you need to do to prepare for the move to Canvas.

Since announcing Canvas by Instructure as Blackboard Learn’s replacement Central Learning Environment (CLE), a great deal of work has taken place to prepare the platform for university-wide launch in September 2025.

  • All colleagues who currently work with Blackboard Learn are invited to our next open meeting on Thursday 23 January at 12:00pm.  
  • Register via the link below to hear key updates and actions. 
  • You can also submit any questions you have about the move. 

The open meeting panel will include representatives from local areas and colleagues from the project. We will share updates about Canvas developments and help you understand how you can prepare for the transition. 

The panel aims to answer as many of your questions submitted prior to the meeting to help you feel supported in the move. The meeting will be recorded and we will share answered questions through our FAQ page on StaffNet.
