Flexible Learning Programme shares first look at Assessment Toolkit
04 Oct 2023
Following a series of workshops held across the summer, the Flexible Learning Programme can now share the first iteration of our University’s new Assessment Toolkit, which aims to provide comprehensive support for staff and student assessment needs. But the team need your input to help the Toolkit grow
What is the Assessment Toolkit?
The Toolkit aims to be a one-stop shop for all things assessment – and has been designed using feedback from over 150 staff and students, gathered across 12 interactive online workshops.
It’s an iterative and always-evolving platform. New information and resources will be added regularly, guided by the needs and feedback of staff and students.
Staff are able to access the Toolkit now (a student launch is planned for later this year), with resources available on topics such as: using AI in assessment and designing assessment for flexible learners. Resources on authentic assessment, accessible assessment and in-class feedback are also planned for the near future and will be launching very soon.
How can I shape Assessment Toolkit?
We want your feedback on how we can improve and build upon the resources available around assessment and feedback through the Toolkit – is there a resource you regularly use which isn’t currently outlined in the plan? Is there information that you’d like to see readily available, that you think staff or students could benefit from?
There’s no suggestion too big or too small. The Assessment Toolkit will only continue to grow and improve with help from our staff and students – it’s for you, and owned by you!
Through the Community of Practice page, you can share your thoughts on individual resources, raise questions you have about assessment, share ideas, or request resources you feel are missing from the Toolkit.
Also, don’t forget to ‘like’ any pages of the Toolkit that you find particularly useful – this helps us understand which resources staff are regularly accessing.
