A programme of events and workshops focusing on teaching and learning practice
The Institute of Teaching and Learning (ITL) are delighted to share details of their interactive and engaging programme of events taking place in May which form part of their upcoming Focus on teaching week.
Taking place between 16 – 20 May 2022, we will be hosting several workshops and development events which will allow colleagues to pause and reflect, along with opportunities and space to really focus on their teaching and learning practice. There will also be sessions which provide further information on the Teaching Excellence Awards which are open for nominations (closing Wednesday, 25 May) along with a face-to-face informal drop-in session where you can meet members of the ITL team, eat cake, and discuss ideas.

Monday, 16 May
- How do I recognise good practice, and what do I do with it? (via Zoom, 10am – 11am).
- TEA (Teaching Excellence Awards) Information Session (via Zoom, 2pm – 3pm).
Tuesday, 17 May
- ITL informal drop-in (Whitworth Committee Room A, 12 –13:30).
- What CPD can I do in teaching and learning? (Simon Building room 4.38, 2pm – 3:30pm).
Wednesday, 18 May
- Working in partnership with students (via Zoom, 10am – 12pm).
- Pomodoro session – teaching and learning development (via Zoom, 11am – 1pm).
Thursday, 19 May
- Simulation as a teaching methodology: how to create a safe space (via Zoom 1pm – 2pm).
- The value of learning: curriculum approaches that benefit the world (via Zoom, 2pm – 3pm).
Friday, 20 May
- Action on Reflection: an opportunity to pause and reflect (via Zoom 12pm – 1pm).
