New design and simplified navigation better reflect how the EDI team work to realise the ambitions of our Equality, Diversity and Inclusion strategy
Dear colleagues,
I am thrilled to announce that our Equality, Diversity and Inclusion StaffNet site has been refreshed to make it easier for you to find important information related to equality, diversity and inclusion at our University.
The homepage has been simplified to make it easier to navigate and highlights the key areas of work for the Directorate: equality groups (protected characteristics), Report & Support, training, charter marks and data.
The content has been updated and extended to support and inform you on how together we can become a truly inclusive organisation where EDI is embedded in all that we do and who we are.
The new content includes:
- an extensive redevelopment of the equality groups, with resources organised under each group to demonstrate the support available across the University and beyond;
- information on charter marks in one place to demonstrate the breadth of our engagement, critical self-assessment and action planning on equalities work.
- streamlined content on staff networks to showcase the variety of networks available, how to join and how regularly groups meet.
We have also given our EDI blog a refresh. Here you can read posts from colleagues on matters related to EDI and get involved with the discussion by leaving a comment. If you’re interested in submitting a blog, please contact equalityanddiversity@manchester.ac.uk.
This new design and simplified navigation better reflect how the EDI team work and how we can all contribute to the ambitions of our Equality, Diversity and Inclusion strategy.
Please do take a look and get in touch with any feedback.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Banji Adewumi
Director of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion
