LGBT+ history month

Celebrating LGBT+ culture

Proud to support LGBT+ history month

This month, we celebrate LGBT+ history month, and colleagues will have the opportunity to recognise and appreciate our LGBT+ history at a number of events taking place across the University.

Patrick Hackett, Registrar, Secretary and Chief Operating Officer and LGBT+ champion said:

“Part of our commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI) within our EDI strategy is to create an inclusive, diverse and accessible environment where it is everyone’s responsibility to ensure all members of our University community are treated with fairness, dignity, respect and have a sense of belonging. We aim to reflect this not only in our structures and our priorities but also how we interact with each other.

"LGBT+ history month is an opportunity for us all to reflect on the diversity of our University community and learn more about matters affecting the LGBT+ community.

"We have a number of events taking place and encourage you all to attend.”
