Join the academic procession to help celebrate our students' achievements
All members of The General Assembly, The Board of Governors, Senate, Emeritus Professors, Residential Life Coordinators, academic and professional services staff are invited to attend our graduation ceremonies and take part in the academic procession.
The ceremonies will take place in-person at Whitworth Hall from Tuesday, 9 July to Friday, 19 July 2024. We’re already looking forward to welcoming the graduating class of 2024 onto campus to celebrate their success with family and friends.
Graduation is a significant milestone in every student’s life. It gives them an opportunity to reflect on their time at Manchester and recognise their hard work and achievements. By joining the academic procession and taking part in our ceremonies, it is also a fantastic opportunity for you to help deliver a truly memorable graduation experience for our students.
How to join the academic procession
- View the schedule to choose the ceremony that you wish to attend. When booking, be mindful that the ceremony timings are subject to change.
- For details of how to register your attendance and order your gown, please follow the attached guidance. Please note the gown hire deadline of Friday, 21 June 2024.
- If you have any technical issues or problems logging in, please contact enetsupport@edeandravenscroft.com.
- If you have your own gown, please ensure you still register attendance but indicate that you are providing your own gown.
- All presenters and tailored speakers also need to register their attendance and order gowns.
- There are a maximum of 25 places for each procession (excluding roles of Presiding Officer, tailored speakers and presenters) which are issued on a first come first served basis.
- If you need to change your attendance or any of your details you can do this at any time before the gown hire deadline of Friday, 21 June 2024.
- Gowns for members of staff will be free of charge provided they are ordered by Friday, 21 June 2024. Members of the procession who have ordered academic dress may obtain their gowns from Committee Room E, Whitworth Corridor half an hour prior to the start of the ceremony they are attending.
- Please assemble in full academic dress in Committee Room D/E, Whitworth Corridor not less than twenty minutes before the ceremony that you are attending.
- All robes hired for staff must be returned to the Committee Room E on the day of the ceremony. Failure to do so will result in a charge being levied.
