International Day of Action for Academic Integrity

17 Oct 2023

This year's International Day of Action for Academic Integrity takes place on 18 October 2023.

The aim of the International Day of Action (IDoA) is to help educational institutions across the globe promote a culture of academic integrity and discourage academic misconduct.

This year's theme is "Championing academic integrity in the age of AI." This theme connects the need for staff and students to champion academic integrity in their institutions and beyond, and the current situation with Artificial Intelligence (AI), which is having a profound effect on higher education.

A full programme of events will take place during the day featuring international speakers and panellists.

The IDoA is staged annually by The International Center for Academic Integrity (ICAI), which was founded in 1992 to combat cheating, plagiarism, and academic dishonesty in higher education. Its mission has since expanded to include the cultivation of cultures of integrity in academic communities throughout the world.
