19 Oct 2018

Find out more about the Economic and Social Research Council Festival.

This year’s ESRC Manchester Festival of Social Science will take place from 3 to 10 November 2018.

The Manchester version of this national festival is now in its fourth year and features events on a variety of themes including ageing, virtual reality, climate change, and the future of work and employment. You can read more about the Festival in Professor Helen Beebee's Spotlight On feature.

Fifteen of the University’s 18 events are being led by Humanities colleagues. You can find out more about all the events by downloading the Festival’s brochure

The Festival launch event will take place on 31 October at the Fossils' Gallery at the Manchester Museum, where you can hear about some of this year's events taking place across Manchester and Salford, organised by The University of Manchester, Manchester Metropolitan University and Salford University. There will be wine (and non-alcoholic drinks) and nibbles, and you will also be able to take a look around the amazing gallery.

  • Please register to attend the launch event.
  • You can follow the event at #ESRCFestival and #McrESRCFest.
