FinTech Innovation Lab returns

20 Sep 2018

Researchers encouraged to express their interest in participating in the event.

Following the success of The Faculty’s first FinTech Innovation Lab last November, the Humanities Business Engagement team is holding another workshop this month. These workshops have been very popular and the team anticipates places for business participants to be competitive. Previous events initiated new collaborative research relationships with companies including Barclays, Eon Reality, WorldPay and Bupa.

The event will facilitate the development of tangible collaborative research projects based on issues and opportunities presented by the industry partners, and seed funding is available to kick-start the best projects, with an expectation that additional funding is committed by the partners. These labs are a fantastic opportunity to develop new relationships that can unlock funding opportunities and demonstrate positive economic and social impacts from our research expertise.

Researchers interested in participating can confirm their availability using this poll.

For anyone who is unfamiliar with the Innovation Lab format, this short video provides a useful overview.

The Faculty of Humanities Business Engagement Support Team (BEST) comprises Dr Andrew James, Associate Dean for Business Engagement and External Relations, Dr Shanta Aphale, Business Engagement Manager, and Rachel Kenyon, Business Engagement Officer.
