contact lens wearers (aged 8-75) required for single-visit clinical study.

Description

Ethics 20672

Study Design: The objective of this study is to demonstrate the ‘real life’ performance of a range of CooperVision soft contact lens brands compared with similar contact lenses brands on the market. Approximately 50 soft contact lens brands are included in the study, covering spherical, toric, multifocal and toric multifocal contact lenses. Eligible volunteers will attend in their habitual contact lenses and performance and safety outcomes of the lenses will be assessed using eye examinations (including application of a standard optometric dye) and questionnaires. Photographs of the eyes (but not the face) may be taken.

Inclusion Criteria: For each contact lens brand, up to 35 volunteers will be recruited, between 8 and 75 years old (inclusive).

Duration and Appointments: The study will involve a single study visit, lasting approximately 1.5 hours.

Reimbursement: Volunteers completing this study will be reimbursed for their time. If a volunteer does not complete the study, a pro-rata reimbursement will be issued, based on the amount of time they have spent at the clinic. Travel costs or loss of earnings from your participation will be at the volunteer’s own expense.
