We lead a team of 15 academics and 155 Greater Manchester primary schools to train 150 postgraduate students (trainee teachers) annually to be primary school teachers.

This is a ‘Team Awards’ application from three academics in the primary PGCE senior leadership team (SLT). We have evidenced our impact, value and reach through high quality and sustained leadership of teaching and learning over a ten-year collaboration. We have selected one case study which exemplifies our effective management of complex change across the university-school partnership in the ten boroughs of Greater Manchester. This example focuses on ‘curriculum reform and development’ through the re-design of the primary PGCE training curriculum to meet the new accreditation requirements of DfE. The application is linked to the award’s themes of ‘educational leadership’ and ‘inclusive education’
