The FEILI Team: Lisa Taylor, Dan Jagger and Steve Davies

Lisa Taylor is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Materials, the University of Manchester. A Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and a Fellow of the Textile Institute and a Honorary Fellow the Institute of Teaching and Learning, University of Manchester, holding a Teaching and Scholarship role. Dan Jagger and Steve Davis are eLearning technologists and managers who specialise in integrating cutting-edge digital tools and methodologies into educational programs. They design and implement innovative eLearning solutions that enhance the teaching and learning experience, ensuring that digital resources are accessible, user-friendly, and effective in meeting the diverse needs of students.

This project, spearheaded by Lisa Taylor and eLearning team members, focuses on enhancing educational outcomes through the strategic themes of Flexible Learning & Digital Delivery and Inclusive Education. The initiative has resulted in the creation of a highly successful digital platform, the Micro Sewing Site, which provides accessible technical resources for students. The team's experience and varied responsibilities has resulted in significant student engagement, the site was accessed over 17,000 in the 2023-24 academic alone. By incorporating the Universal Design for Learning (UDL) framework, the team ensures that the digital resources are inclusive and cater to diverse learning styles. The platform supports peer feedback and self-reflection, enabling students to review and compare practices, thereby enhancing their learning experiences. The team's efforts have been recognised at the Advance HE Conference 2020, and their work has influenced prominent educators and contributed valuable resources to JORUM. This project enriches students' learning practices in the technology discipline. Good range of evidence.
