Emma Pimlott (School of Medical Sciences)

Emma's Teaching Excellence Award submission detailed how she has excelled in her leadership of developing Population health Teaching and Learning at the Medical School.  Population Health focuses on addressing health needs of populations.  As the MBChB Population Health lead, Emma has showcased how online teaching and learning resources, and online webinars have augmented experiential learning on clinical placements for over 2000 medical students.  Student feedback has been consistently high, with comments about how placements have allowed students to gain understanding of health needs of populations.  Emma has presented her work at a National Level, and led on a Population Health case study highlighted as good practice by the General Medical Council, the governing body for doctors.
