The Team organises and delivers the annual Aerospace Field Course for second-year Aerospace Engineering students.

The Aerospace Field Course is an innovative residential flight testing experience that is run for second-year Aerospace Engineering students at the University of Manchester. The course offers a unique opportunity for these students to apply their theoretical knowledge in a practical and engagement environment. First run three-years ago following the COVID-19 pandemic, the course is delivered anually at Snowdonia Aerospace Centre in Llanbedr, Wales, providing the opportunity for students to perform hands-on practical flight testing activities in aerospace engineering that could not be delivered on campus. The course is enabled and supported by a highly-engaged and dedicated team of academics, graduate teaching assistants, and technical staff who work together to ensure that the experience is the highlight of the Aerospace Engineering degree programme in Manchester.
