Staff and Students of Partner Organisations of The University of Manchester, where this leads to a University of Manchester award are entitled to apply for a University of Manchester Library Card which gives them the following rights:-

• Access to the Main Library and its site libraries during all opening hours (with the exception of Eddie Davies and the Learning Commons)

• Borrowing of 15 books from the ‘normal’ collections (High Demand material is excluded)

• Photocopying services at normal charges

• Use of Document Supply facilities at the ‘at cost’ charge of £5 i.e. without any administration charge added

• Use of the four computers located opposite the Customer Services desk on the ground floor of the Main Library to access electronic information resources which have legally-agreed licences for such use

• Reference-only access to the stock of the High Demand Collection

• Use of Customer Services facilities such as telephone renewals, etc.

Those who are undertaking a PhD or are teaching those studying for a PhD are registered via the University registration system.
