Main changes between versions 2.3 (April 2014) and 2.4 (September 2016) of the Regulations
Main changes between versions 2.3 (April 2014) and 2.4 (September 2016) of the Regulations:
- Paragraph F29 of the Undergraduate Degree Regulations allows an Examination Board to agree that a student who fulfils the requirements for the award of a degree can be reassessed in some units in the final year in order to achieve higher marks required by a relevant professional, statutory or regulatory body. Following feedback from the School of Nursing, Midwifery and Social Work, an amendment has been made that, in such cases, the marks should be capped at the pass mark when determining the class of degree awarded to the student. This amendment will apply for new and current students as from September 2016 (page 6).
- The addition of the Graduate Diploma and Graduate Certificate in Table 1: Credit and Award Framework (page 2).
- Confirmation that students cannot progress onto an Ordinary degree, unless it is as a result of a decision made by a School or Faculty misconduct committee/discipline panel (page 4).
- The changing of the term ‘mark review’ to ‘classification review’ throughout, for clarity.
