Muse headbands
Details:
Muse headbands are a meditation tool for students to use with the help of a staff member from the Wellbeing Team. We'll be doing lots of pop ups in March and students don’t have to book, they can just come along. The length of the meditation is up to the student, the most common is between 10-15 minutes.
For more details about Muse headbands, visit:
www.studentsupport.manchester.ac.uk/taking-care/wellbeing/takenotice/muse/.

For lots of students, March is a key time for submission deadlines. If you're feeling overwhelmed or simply need some time out, join us for a meditation session using our brainwave-sensing headband. During this month, muse meditation sessions will take place on a drop-in basis and will be held in the pod in the large space at the back of the University's Main Library on the ground floor.
If you're not sure where to go, the Main Library reception staff will be able to point you in the right direction.
The sessions will be held on the following dates:
- Wednesday 4th March: 11am-1pm
- Wednesday 18th March: 11am-1pm
*Please bring your own wired headphones along with you!*

University Mental Health day (5th March)
University Mental Health Day
Details/ suggested copy for newsletters:
We know that students experience their own unique struggles when it comes to mental health. To highlight this important issue, 5th March is National University Mental Health Day. To mark this day, we're running an event in the ground floor event space of the Main Library between 10 am - 12 pm and 2 pm - 4 pm. Come along to chill out with mindful colouring and board games or contribute to our Wall of Kindness to help make campus a kinder place. We'll also have staff from the Student Support and Wellbeing team around to chat about any concerns you may have.

Month of Wellbeing
Month of Wellbeing
Coming soon
Details: We are creating a Six Ways wellbeing calendar which will have small, manageable daily tips for students to follow for a regular boost. The calendar won't be restricted to a specific month, so please feel free to print multiple copies to be used for as long as you feel appropriate. We think these would be best as printed materials, given to students in School Support Offices or study spaces.
