What is the SALC Teaching Innovation Collective?
The SALC Teaching Innovation Collective is a series of monthly seminars and workshops which focus on a variety of aspects of teaching innovation that are of relevance to all staff and postgrads who teach in SALC (and beyond!), to PS colleagues involved in teaching and learning, and of course to students too. The sessions are open to all.
The “collective” part of the title acknowledges two important things. Firstly, that teaching innovation is both a collective and, ultimately, a politicised endeavour. Secondly, that best practice and great experiences in teaching and learning come from working as a team and sharing what we do, and doing so enables us to critically examine the changing landscape of Higher Education today. The Teaching Innovation Collective provides a forum for exactly this kind of sharing and critical thinking.
